There is no destination nor current parameter being added to the "Log in" menu link (e.g. making it /user/login?current=node/27 )
Nor, as shown in the attached screenshot, is redirect to allowed.
The documentation indicates that redirecting to the page someone is on when they follow the login menu link is something that should be supported by this module.

Login the first time, it remembers the originating page correctly.
Logout, move to another page.
Login still tries to return you to the first originating page.
The value for get var 'current' when you hover over the Login button is sticky.
