jhodgdonHi there! Thanks for your interest. At the moment, we are testing and refining the process for translating, using Hungarian and Catalan as test cases. We had posted a notice in various places about wanting one or two language groups to test the process, and those two got organized and volunteered.
So, we should postpone this issue for a couple of weeks until we have decided our process is working, and then start up the Dutch translation. OK?

jhodgdonHi there!
The Catalan and Hungarian teams have been translating now for a while, and we think the process is ready to open up to other translation groups. And, we now have our Contributor Instructions up on drupal.org! The part about setting up for a new language is here:
https://www.drupal.org/docs/user_guide_guidelines/pm-guide.html#pm-guide...
Quoting from that page (with a couple of additions in [])... the first step for a new language is:
So... Your first step would be to discuss on localize.drupal.org with the other existing members of the Dutch Drupal localization group, whether you are ready to translate the User Guide, and who wants to manage the translation team. When you make that decision, come on back here and we'll get the process started.
Thanks!
