Module names are not unique so using just module names for dependencies may get the wrong project. Best practices for specifying dependencies is to also specify the project. See http://www.drupal.org/node/2299747.

Thanks! The patch looks good and the tests pass... I'll get it committed at some point in the near future, when I'm back from trips etc.

Yes, there have been enough changes that it is probably time for a new release... will take care of that sometime soon (sorry, I have been on vacation for the last 3 weeks).
