how can we disable extra_voting_form voting feature for an author of content? some users uses this for "yourself voting" and enlarge karma ;)

Hi,

I don't think you can right now. However, if you look at the code, I al 98% sure that your own votes are not counted towards your karma.

I am verging on having this a "won't fix", because it's a bit absurd that a user can't vote on his own story. The issue should be more about getting karma for it, and I am pretty sure they don't. Can you please check?

it's very interesting for me and i made some tests. yep, my karma grows up after i voted for some my comments

Hi,

OK, some notes:

1) This is in the wrong spot. It's in extra_voting_forms, but it's obvioust a user_karma issue

2) Users in extra_voting_forms are not able to vote up their own comments unless they are administrators

3) I agree that user_karma should not count a user's own votes for his/her own comments and nodes although I am not sure it's entirely possible. Please add a *detailed* feature request in user_karma. Please be specific, with what's happening right now, and what should be happening instead, and specify *exactly* which plugins you're talking about.
