I think this is much bigger problem than we should be solving in Outside In. This is true across every single form on a Drupal site that has another link on the page. You never get warned clicking a link will cause you to lose your changes.
I think the only thing we could really stop is if the user clicks to open the exact same form, i.e. same Quick edit link or Editable element.
