Setting up a fresh site to work on this module, first I uploaded the required modules. To get started, I activated just uc_auction on the modules page, letting all the dependent modules be selected automatically. But uc_cart wasn't included, and it's required for the winning item to be purchased.

This could be considered a bug in Ubercart, but here's a patch to fix it in uc_auction.
