There is no user interface, there is no (obvious) support of views, there is no help. How can I get the gathered impression information?

Drupal 8 version of impress is still in beta. A little bit tricky to disable and uninstall later on as it bootstrapped on the early time of the page load.

Just enable and install the module as usual. Will create impression base entities soon it is enabled.
