We are a design firm in Philadelphia who have been building sites with Drupal for years.
Looking for someone experienced with NetSuite integration to give an estimate for handling it for a project.
A client has a site that is still in Drupal 6: www.phillyboyschoir.org. (PBCC)
They take payments through Ubercart.
The organization is going to NetSuite. Here's what I have from the NetSuite team:
For integration between NetSuite and website, we will use RESTlets (a type of NetSuite's SuiteScript). We will develop an Rest based end point that you will have to consume in your server side code. Following would be be the authentication mechanism to interact with NetSuite -
- Credentials based authentication
- Token based authentication
We will provide you API document so that it would be helpful for you to know about required parameters, input JSON formats and output JSON formats.
(They said we could use the older SOAP xml system if we prefer, rather than RESTlets). Attached is a PDF they sent comparing approaches.
If anyone has tips about who to approach, or where to post this opportunity, let me know. I looked all through marketplace but it could not find a place to post a project (rather than a position).

And also we have done multiple integration with other third part software using RestLet API. Which can be an token and credential based while establishing the communication with Drupal.
At the same time it can handle uni directional or bi-directional communication. Which can be real time or schedule based.

We have recently completed a Drupal / NetSuite integration project for the New Zealand Council of Educational Research. The project went well and our brains are very fresh with knowledge on how to manage this process smoothly.
Our approach involved using SOAP. Going for a RESTlet solution with NetSuite as your developer by comparison with our solution would be extremely expensive and the same thing can be achieved more easily with a SuiteTalk / SOAP API solution. We'd like to know more specifics around what kind of data you are trying to transfer to and from NetSuite as this will be the biggest determination in the scale of the project - and crucially will let us know whether or not we could avoid the need to do any programming on the NetSuite end.
