I am currently building a drupal 8 site and this is one of the only pieces left that I have not solved yet. It would great if we could get a drupal 8 port of this module so that we can have panels content available in the rest responses for our site.

I will be working on this port. But before porting this module we need to have stable release for restful.

Hi @mohit_aghera, any news on the port? I'm looking into this as a way to create a rest resource for Panelized Nodes and Pages from the Page Manager in Drupal8.

Did you get the chance to see how the new Panels and Panelizer work in D8 along with Core's Rest capabilities?

It's possible we might include JSON output directly in Panelizer due to there being JSON capabilities out of the box in D8..
