This week when we worked on the Features 2.9 security update we dropped support for the 1.x branch of Features. According to the statistics, some 40,000+ people are still using this branch.

While we have made huge efforts to make the 2.x branch compatible with features exported from the 1.x branch and highly encourage people to upgrade to the 2.x branch, we understand that upgrading old sites can often be difficult and not everybody will update.

However, we aware that with the dropped support for the 1.x branch, security updates will not be provided for that branch unless somebody steps forward to take over maintenance of that branch.

If you are interested in supporting the Features 1.x branch, post here or contact me via email. You need to be a member of the Drupal community in good standing with a track record of contrib support work. Obviously people who have been involved with past Features issues, patches, etc would be preferred.

I'd suggest closing this and marking the 7.x-1.x branch unsupported, v2 is so much more stable and usable.

For the record: current statistics say about 11.000.
