I quickly created a test and this was working fine on my end.

For example you can create a block with this kind of HTML:

You could also create a view that outputs this kind of like of HTML. But for speeds sake, I just created a simple block.

The ID must match the ID in the settings: (It doesnt have to be an ID, but just a working jquery selector (# for id, . for classes.)

IF you have these settings and this block configured correctly you should have something like:

With a custom working pager.

develway, it has a reason if you want to use dynamically loaded images added by site users. For example news nodes created by editors with images.
