I am getting an error when I try to create a new field as a node reference using an existing view.

Fatal error: Call to a member function render() on a non-object in /home/content/s/h/a/shantijoonu/html/drupal_sandbox/sites/all/modules/views/theme/theme.inc on line 179

I am not sure whether this is a content profile issue, CCK, node reference, or Views. For more on this issue please see the original post.

look at the linked issue - it's fixed in the cck dev version
