Recently came across a scenario where I wanted to link to a .realtor domain and was unable to because it's not recognized as a valid tld.

The link module allows for a variable where you can set extra valid tld's, a similar solution for this module is probably appropriate. Some discussion about this issue in the link module

I agree - this is an issue that Link module has already started to solve. Can we leverage the work they're doing in that issue to extend this module and provide overridable alternatives to those hard coded in the module. Can we look at getting a patch for this?
