Views date exposed filters broken when YEAR is removed from SHORT date format

Here's a fun one that took me a few hours to track down. For some reason views is using your Short date format to determine which order to display the year, month, day, drop-down select lists on the exposed form. But if you have removed YEAR from your short date format (it is called short, after all, and it's probably the most likely format to cause this bug), views also deletes the year drop-down select list, making your views exposed filters horribly broken since you can't change the year in your searches. :(
