wildmandmc commentedfew quick questions, is this a new install or a updated core install
if updated , did it work prior? if so, when u updated did you skip uploading the sites folder.
new install permissions granted? any other contributed modules installed, enabled w/permissions.

mattltOn our development/test installation I came to notice that many (not all) of my contrib commerce modules were put into the disabled state and on the Uninstall screen. I'm not sure when this happened.
Trying to re-enable them was unsuccessful. I then uninstalled all of them and when I went to install them from scratch, I'm just returned to the module page with no errors or notifications of any kind and nothing in the logs either.

wildmandmc commentedso correct me if im wrong, your good to go now?
on the sites i made with drupal (61) of them. i also had to add modules not pre-loaded with core. views, token, cck, ect.
cord1 commentedThis is a clean new install.
All I have done is stated above.
Problem not solved.
wildmandmc commentedsorry cord, i looked at other posters an didn't see that it was not you (original poster).
the only thing after reading thru some of post of links you provided. is possible that with that module. other commerce modules are needed
this is just a rough guess. yrs ago with the ubercart that was a pain in butt to set up. what i ended up doing. on sites that were selling things set up a link with a paypal payment .

David_Rothstein commentedClosing as a duplicate - if it turns out to be a problem with Drupal core that issue can always be moved to the core queue, but so far it seems like it's specific to Commerce License so probably a bug with that particular module.
mattltThis is not specific to Commerce License. I'm seeing the issue with the following modules…
commerce_authnet
commerce_cardonfile
commerce_dm
commerce_addressbook
commerce_autosku
commerce_billy
commerce_checkout_complete_registration
commerce_checkout_progress
commerce_checkout_redirect
commerce_donate
commerce_dunning
commerce_extra_price_formatters
commerce_fancy_attributes
commerce_recurring
commerce_registration
commerce_search_api
commerce_stock
commerce_custom_product
commerce_fedex
commerce_flat_rate
commerce_physical
commerce_reports
commerce_shipping
commerce_ups
commerce_ups
The following modules do seem to be working…
commerce_coupon
commerce_discount
commerce_event_ticket
commerce_tickets
commerce_goodrelations
commerce_product_attributes
I'm trying to find some time to do some more testing to see if it's a Drupal issue or other.
Thanks,
•• matt

cord1 commentedReading Mattlt list may suggest that modules in first part calls something that modules in second part do not call.
Seams to me the problem is in commerce in some way.
mattltHey cord1,
I finally got a chance to do some more in depth testing. In short, my issue turned out to be php configuration.
I started by recreating our test site with a backup of the last working version we were using. As soon as I disabled one of the commerce contrib modules, all the above mentioned modules magically disabled themselves. Weird.
I then set up the same version locally using Acquia's Dev Desktop application. I disabled a module, but this time everything else stayed stable. Now we're getting somewhere.
Next, I made a backup of a client's site on the same server as the original non-working test version. Disabled a module and everything was stable.
We're using a CloudLinux server that lets you pick a PHP version for each account. The client site was using our default, server-wide PHP configuration. The test site was on an account that was using a custom PHP version and configuration (though I thought it was set up to be identical to the default version, but to make it easy to test different PHP versions without effecting the rest of the accounts on the server). As soon as I switched the account the test site was on to use the default PHP config, everything started working as expected.
I'm still not exactly sure what the difference between the two configurations was, or if CloudLinux is restricting some functionality when using custom vs. default PHP, but it was definitely the cause of my issue.
Hope this helps,
•• matt

cord1 commentedHi Mattlt,
Thank you so much for your effort.
See this link for screendumps of the default PHP settings in my cpanel for D7.41
Is it possible for you to do a similar dump from the working site so I can compare?
mattltHi cord1,
I see you're also using CloudLinux in cPanel to manage PHP versions. When I switched to the Native Version I'm no longer able to take screenshots of the config. However, here's what I've got from WHM and phpinfo…

I will look into this asap.

gbyteHi guys,
I have a mirrored drupal installation running exactly the same DB and code. While on my local environment everything works smoothly, on my live environment I cannot enable any commerce modules which are in the group "commerce (contrib)" or "commerce (shipping)". Even my custom module I put into "commerce (contrib)" is affected by the same issue.
As expected changing "commerce (contrib)" to "commerce contrib" in the .info file fixes the issue.
PHP 5.6
Mysql 5.5
The strange thing is that it is working perfectly on my local machine so it seems to be an environment thing.

David_Rothstein commentedLet's call it a duplicate of that other core issue, then. Or perhaps this issue could eventually be repurposed for backporting the fix there to Drupal 7.
