The iCal feed automatically added to calendar views renders a broken .ics file. In place of the title, the whole body is displayed on the calendar entries (sometimes also with an attributes array on top, such as fid, view_mode, etc.). I get the problem both on Iceowl/Mozilla Lightning and KOrganizer.

Looking at the exported .ics file, the problem seems to be that both DESCRIPTION and SUMMARY export the body of the event (except if a summary is explicitly added to the node, whereas that summary is then in the SUMMARY field). Reading from another source, the issue is probably related to the fact that "The SUMMARY iCal attribute which is typically used to specify the title of event (including by Google) shouldn't contain any event details"

Title: iCal export is broken » Body appears instead of title on iCal export feeds

Yep, I can confirm this.

I will need to look into this more closely. It looks like this was changed when we were trying to get the iCal attachment added to Event notifications to properly get captured by GMail as event details. So I need to test if changing the Summary back to the Default Title breaks this functionality or not.

Actually, this seems really straight-forward. The view has the summary pointing at the body instead of title and this has been there since the beginning. Kind of surprised nobody reported this before. I committed a fix to b2e4377 and hopefully it will make it into the 2.50-rc2.
