Hi,

Is there a way on "privatemsg/new" page, that the auto-complete actually detects/checks for the user's buddylist contacts first (something like how facebook's msg inbox works) before allowing anonymous users (who are not a buddy with the sender).

I believe this is an essential part missing from privatemsg, as well to avoid spamming within the community that deploys this module.

Are you taking into consideration to add this feature into the final 5.x.2 version?

This version of Privatemsg is not supported anymore, maybe it is already implemented in Privatemsg for Drupal 6 and if not, you are welcome to open a new issue for it.
