We had to upgrade our servers to the latest version of php (5.6.11) and found a small bug with this module which blocks us now, there is one usage of ereg_replace what is already deprecated after 5.3, that's why i'm attaching a patch what used it's solved.

Looks like a reasonable fix in terms of minimizing the change, though the logic of that code could be more clearly written.
