After creating a metatag field for a content type, the field shows up on the content type's "Manage display" form with an "Empty formatter" format. Work out how to hide this field from the display settings, given it is completely redundant.

DamienMcKennaI'm not sure how? The field formatter seemed to be required?

DamienMcKennaMarking this "postponed" as I won't be looking at it until after 1.0.

DamienMcKenna8.x-1.0 is out, so this is fair game again.

tepelena CreditAttribution: tepelena commentedI was wondering the same thing. Should the Metatag fields be displayed on Manage Display form? Since the metatags go on the header, what is the point of them being shown on manage display. Wouldn't they be printed either way.

DamienMcKennaSorry, I pasted the wrong issue number, I think I'd intended to paste in #2844699: Hide the unnecessary "Metatag" field from entity display settings.
That said, we don't need multiple issues, so lets close the other ones and refocus this one.
