Twitter Pull broken after Twitter module update. [#2570489]

This is my first time posting an issue so forgive me please if I have done this incorrectly. After updating our Twitter module due to the required security patch, all of our Twitter feeds, which use twitter_pull_render have failed.

I enabled the Tweets view to make sure that the Twitter module and OAuth are working and I'm able to get tweets with our authenticated UMass account. Live example on our dev environment: http://umasspresidentdev.prod.acquia-sites.com/tweets

I updated the Twitter Pull module also to the newest version 7.x-2.0-dev after trying 7.x-2.0-alpha. Neither of these were working. I have a simple node here that should be rendering tweets from @umass. I do see the heading I included in my PHP and the div "tweets-pulled-listing" is rendering. No idea why this won't pull my tweets. http://umasspresidentdev.prod.acquia-sites.com/node/357541

Here's the code I've embedded in that node:

As I understand it, the original version of this module did not require OAuth but since I know my Twitter and OAuth are working fine, I don't see that could be an issue.

Hi Tracy,

I too was caught out by this. I expect most or all twitter_pull users will be too after they apply the security update. This issue arises because the Twitter module has updated it's twitter_connect() function with a bunch of parameters that default to false. Twitter pull hasn't yet updated it's call to take this into account.

If you want to patch the 7.x-2.0-alpha2 version of the module, update line 171 of twitter_pull.class.inc from
$twitter = twitter_connect();
to
$twitter = twitter_connect(NULL, TRUE, TRUE);

That's how most of the calls within the twitter module are now made.
