it would be great to use the complete entity view processor with a Multiple types index.

At the moment it's not available.

Yes, that indeed makes sense, as would some of the other processors (especially "Node access"). I'll see whether I get round to it, but I'm pretty busy with the D8 port at the moment. I'd be very glad about any patches in that direction, though!

Feel free to postpone if no one else needs this. I'm knee deep in D8 now..

I took a stab at this. Someone who is smarter than me might need to do a sanity check on my code. I'm not sure if it is possible for an entity to not support entity_view. If that is possible, not sure how well it would be handled here, but administrator should not enable that type anyway :)

Thanks, looks pretty good already! Attached are a few smaller adaptions.

However, one big issue remains to be fixed before I can commit this: entity types rarely have the same view modes defined, so having one selection for all types doesn't really make sense, I'd say. So, it would be great if you change the form builder for this case a bit more, to instead have one field per entity type. It should be pretty easy by just making a new protected helper method with most of the current configurationForm() code and just pass the entity type to that (and loop through all types for multi-type datasources).

I need to work on this. Updating "assigned" field.

We got same requirement to have index with both Node and User items in index. Created an index.
But I don't see "Rendered Entity" row plug-in available in views to show both Users and Nodes rendered in a view mode. Any idea?

Views is a different issue, this issue is about the processor/property.

I've recently changed to the latest develop commit for search_api (https://git.drupalcode.org/project/search_api/-/commit/6de9004798173315e...), because the have been a few bugdfixes commited since the last release that I need for my current project. The fix from #5 no longer works.

I did read the reason why patch from #5 hasn't been committed yet and I it would've been great If I had the time to change this, but I don't realy need the change since we did create the same view mode for all entity types for this project.

So this patch is the same as #5, but can be applied for the lasted dev version.
