I have installed tinyMCE and imce. Everything works except the link and unlink button. I can highlight text, click on the link icon, put in a link, and nothing happens.

I can bold, add images, lists, etc. It even highlights a full url. Just will not allow me or any user to create a link.

I have tried this on both Safari and Firefox.

This version of TinyMCE is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
