When performing a migration with MigrateDestinationParagraphsItem and having the system of record set to Migration::DESTINATION, an exception is thrown 'Missing bundle property on entity of type paragraphs_item. ([DRUPAL_ROOT]/includes/common.inc:7836)'.

Applying the default properties when not present for both system of record SOURCE and DESTINATION fixed this issue for me.

I'm not really sure why this would work. What does $this->bundle contain when you use it as destination?

In an effort to cleanup the Paragraphs issue queue I'm closing this ticket and marking it "outdated." If you find this is still a problem with the latest Paragraphs 7.x-1.x-dev release than feel free to reopen the issue.
