Hello,

what is the current status of the 8.x version? I have tried to install the latest version and there are several critical php errors caused by taxonomy_menu module.

Thank you, Martin.

While the 8.x-3.x version is still in development, that's kind of surprising. What are the errors you're seeing?

I ran:

  • drush dl taxonomy_menu
  • drush en taxonomy_menu
  • access subdomain.example.com (WSoD is returned)
  • tail /var/log/apache2/error.log

This is the last error I get:

[Fri Aug 28 15:03:25.793908 2015] [:error] [pid 25602] [client IP:PORT] Uncaught PHP Exception Drupal\\Core\\Entity\\Exception\\InvalidLinkTemplateException: "Link template 'edit-form' for entity type 'taxonomy_menu' must start with a leading slash, the current link template is 'entity.taxonomy_menu.edit_form'" at /var/www/example.com/web/u8/core/lib/Drupal/Core/Entity/EntityManager.php line 239

This is because 8.x version is not compatible with current D8 HEAD. In current D8, link templates contains the actual path not the route name, that is why its broken.

So again is there any plan to make it D8 compatible ? If yes should start creating issues for this ?

Here is the patch.

Also marking it as major as "if user is not able to install module, then what is its use".

Status: Needs review » Needs work

The last submitted patch, 5: 2559127-5.patch, failed testing.

Test failure is invalid as currently test cases are wrong implemented.

Thank you for the patch. I applied it manually and the error is gone and there is no WSoD anymore.
