Nodes are only deleted/unpublished when the feed is not empty. Removing all content (resulting in an empty feed), will cause feeds not to remove/unpublish anything.

This was discussed as being a feature to prevent data-loss in 1470530, but it's more like a bug if you haven't read the thread and are going off what the UI says will happen. I think a good alternative would be an option "Delete/unpublish even if feed is empty?".

As a workaround I am going to try setting the imported nodes to expire.

Hi,

duplicate with #2333667: Add an option to delete all nodes when the feed source is empty. I guess we are the only two people to want this :)
