Why only one state can publish node?

It will be nice if more than one state can publish the node.

For example I have states: Pending approval (unpublished node), Online (published node), Expired (published node), Offline (unpublished node)

So, states Online and expired should publish the node.

I added hook hook_publish_statuses() and in this hook you should return array with states machine names which should publish node. By default only 'published' state publish node.
