In vinculum_webmention_validate_resource_exists lookup by path alias always fails because the base_path is not removed from the path.

I am quite sure you are right but even with the patch it's still not working. Looking deeper, will try to get this confirmed and extended to make it work right.

I am not sure what is not working for you. The path lookup works with my patch. I would agree that we need a test to demonstrate what works or does not. I am a bit out of the loop with testing of contrib. I'll get back to this.
