Module not working correctly

We've recently setup a new website. We've used this module lots of times before however this time we downloaded version 7.x-2.1, installed it as before, enabled it, set the tracking ID and Google Analytics couldn't see it - kept saying Tracking Code not installed. After hours of messing around I found an old version I had downloaded and used previously - 7.x-1.3, removed the current version and installed this one. Added the tracking ID and Google found it straight away?!

Is there an issue or something that needs patching?
