Media field on Paragraphs item opens two overlapping browser modals

I have a paragraphs field on my Page nodes (https://www.drupal.org/project/paragraphs) and one of the paragraph item entities has a media field on it. When I add a new paragraph item and press the "Browse" button on that media field, two browser windows open up directly on top of each other. If I try to select an existing image in the top-most browser I get an error saying that I didn't select anything. If I close that browser, revealing the one underneath, then I am able to select a library image as normal.
