It would be if the query in the tagclouds_get_tags() function could be modified from other modules. For example, this feature request could be solved too from a custom module: https://www.drupal.org/node/2371329.

Here is the patch, which makes it possible to alter the query object from the tagclouds_get_tags() function in any module by implementing the hook_tagclouds_get_tags_query_alter() function.

While implementing the query alter, we found it's also useful to bring the $size of the allowed number of tags.

In our alter, we want to alter the query for a specific situation to expanding the tag cloud.
I can't find either a method to get the query range nor a block delta number to help get the size number.

The simplest way for me is to bring the $size with it.
I'd like to propose a minor change to expand the alter support a bit.
