node/add should be the link Content > Add content
admin/structure/type/add should be added to structure > content > add new content.

Well, it seems to me there already is... At least in beta 11 (did not test with beta 12).

I'm sorry for not been clear. There is a Add Content Type, which goes to admin/structure/types/add.

I was expecting the Add New Content Type under structure -> content type. Nevermind the Add new content type is under Content.

I think it should go under structure -> content type and under Content Type should go Add New Content = node/add

Hum, you'r right indeed. This has changed lately. On my previous installation, everything was right with 1.6 + beta-11, but it is not anymore on 1.7 - beta 12.
