I am having the same issue as well.

I think the main window is actually a window to the server. I set mine up as well to connect on the mibbit server to the channel #queerwomenottawa. I installed mirc and I am sitting in #queerwomenottawa and I don't see the user made by mibbit join the channel unless "/join #queerwomenottawa" is typed.

The default setup allows you to log into a test channel.

Does this work for you?

These sound like problems with IRC and not with this mibbit_irc module which is merely a wrapper around a IRC client.

Kevin,

I uninstalled, and reinstalled the module.

Your test channel works, and this time it's actually using my username on the site which is much better than my last attempt which gave me a random weird name.

Changing the channel in admin -- now it works fine for me.

Some aditional info,

The problem is a problem with the nickname on the server. MibbitICR fordrupal assumes the username as nick. If there is an other user with the same nick there will be problems. so the user have to connect the chanel without entering a name i the thextbox of mibitt create a nickname and reload the site to be able to enter the chanel wth the nick he has created. This nickwill work fo along tim.

Perhaps you can build a routine that do something if a nick is already given. You could tell the user he should provide a new one before ou leve him in to the channel and let him see the error message.

BTW: Is it possible to logon to more than on channel on the same irc host same time.

Well done module :-)
