Looked high and low, and before I mess around with my template, wondered if there is an easy way to tell TinyMCE to show up in the comment form when it is on the node page (as opposed to being linked to from the node page)?

This version of TinyMCE is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
