Looks like the name of this function changed at some point.

in this file:
regcode/includes/views_handler_field_term_regcode_tid.inc

line 74 needs to change from:
$this->items[$term->node_vid][$term->tid]['path'] = taxonomy_term_path($term);
to
$this->items[$term->node_vid][$term->tid]['path'] = taxonomy_term_uri($term);

Thanks @davemax.
taxonomy_term_path is from D6, and when they ported it to 7, this function was overlooked I think.
This will be released with the 7.x-1.3 version.
