Currently the byline can only be handled as text, but its frequently helpful to link a byline to an entity or term reference.

Attached if a very preliminary patch that allows the byline to be mapped to a taxonomy term (my personal use case). This is not a complete solution, nor even the best solution. But it feels like a step in the right direction so I figured I share it to encourage feedback if others run into this issue.
