In views-bootstrap-list-group-plugin-style.tpl.php link rendered with html tag, not with drupal theme functions l().
Without l() link can't have class="active" and url such as node/{nid} will be rendered as is, without proper alias.

Please check assigned patch.

template was replaced with l() and item_list() theme functions. Rendered arrays used for output. So it can be easily changed if needed on preprocess.
