enabling apply for role gives warning ??

upon enabling the module I get the previous warnings
(I had the 1.1 version installed, disabled it and tried this one)

I guess the dev version does not work at all (after trying it)
but posted it just in case, feel free to close the ticket

I am using XAMPP 1.6.3a on localhost and drupal 5.7
