Good patch, if the issue description is a tad terse.

Committed. Will be in the upcoming 1.10 release.

Whops, I never actually tested it properly (sorry I did this in a rush), the added methods are static so it needs to be:

$data['language'] = self::get_country_code($language->language)

....

$languages = self::get_languages() + array(LANGUAGE_NONE => t('Language of the user'));

Now it seems to work! I can submit a patch later if no other takers.
