I've posted this issue here http://drupal.org/node/239395, but now, I think that it could be date's module issue. Please, take a look at these modules strange behavior.

Dependent fields module is a brand new module that is only available in a beta version. If it has some conflict with established modules like the Date module, you should start by reporting the issue there so the maintainer can investigate it. It should only come back here if it looks like the problem seems to be caused by some bug in the Date module, and then it needs to be explained in a way that I don't have to install the module to do something about it.

If you were reporting a conflict with a widely used module I would investigate it myself, but I just don't have time to install and test every one of the 2,000 or so (and growing every day) contrib modules on Drupal.org for every possible conflict they might introduce.
