The three Bartik "Triptych" regions found between the main content and the footer have been renamed to "Featured bottom".
During a usability review undertaken in 2011, "triptych" was highlighted as an example of the kind of Drupal terminology users often find confusing. Featured bottom was proposed as an alternative because it's a common place to put featured content in many websites. Along with this renaming, we also re-named the region "Featured" to "Featured Top" to reflect the new names.
- Featured becomes Featured top
- Triptych first becomes Featured bottom first
- Triptych middle becomes Featured bottom second
- Triptych last becomes Featured bottom third
This will also have an impact on any Bartik subthemes, and be most apparent on admin/structure/block, and in the configuration settings for placing individual blocks in regions.
