Hello,

is the max size for thumbnails limited to 500px ?? I tried to get 600px in admin interface, doesn't seem to take, tried to hack the module with default size 600px, does not work.
I really need to have this thumbnail size for my layout !!

That's a huge 'thumbnail'
Is it bigger than the source image? Dunno if upscaling is expected to work for thumbs.
(I don't actually know - just randomly noticing issues :-)

OK, consider "thumbnails" like banners for the top of my posts, with possibility to click on them to see the full size version !! ;)

There is no such a restriction in the img.module. Verify admin/settings/uploads settings for the uploads module.
