I'm a huge fan of this module. Thanks a lot for your efforts!

Currently we have to choose inside the formatter field settings which image field to control. This seems to bring the limitation that 1 formatter field can control only 1 image field. I'm wondering if it's possible to connect the fields vice versa. So that we could choose inside the image field if and which formatter field should control it. I think this would make it possible to control several image fields with 1 formatter field.

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
