(Video format documentation and solution in https://www.drupal.org/node/2371427)
I have recently encountered a problem where pages that previously had a working video suddenly are showing the No video with supported format and MIME type found error. I'm using the mp4 format and the issue seems to be limited to the Firefox browser on a Mac. The videos are still in the same location on the server where the code says to find them and they have not been changed, so I don't understand why video.js does not find them. Being that the Video.js module suits my needs perfectly, I'd really like to solve this problem rather than have to find another module to use. Any suggestions will be most welcome. Thanks.

bisonbleu commentedI have the same issue.
I've tested Video.js module in 3 different OSX browsers. See captures in attachment.
CHROME
- .webm works
- .mp4 does NOT (audio yes, no video)
SAFARI
- .webm works
- .mp4 works (initially, no video)
FIREFOX
- .webm works
- .mp4 does NOT (no audio, no video)
So, .webm works in all 3 browsers; .mp4 has issues with all 3 browsers. Bumping up to bug report.

peterx commented.webm is new and not in older browsers. Video.js lets you supply multiple formats and should pick the right one. Try this test. Change your video field to allow multiple files. Upload both a webm and mp4 to the same field. Browse. See if Video.js can select the right one for your browser.
The HTML 5 Video element should be produced with multiple files inside. The browser should go through the files from top to bottom until the browser finds a file the browser can display.
