As stated in this comment, I would like to push ZipCart to the next level by adding a couple of new options and features. I will use this issue thread to collect my various additions and changes and invite all interested devs to leave comments and discuss the path.

DrupalCon Amsterdam and some other projects held me off, but I finished the custom version of zipcart for my client. I created cumulative patches against the dev version, you can find them at the three child issues (see right sidebar).

The patch attached here, includes all three final versions of the patches in the child issues, it can be applied to the dev version to get the complete feature set. This is for ease-to-use and if xurizaemon agrees, this might be the start of a 2.x-dev version.

Due to the lack of response and to keep my own patches maintained, I've created a sandbox for "ZipCart2". It's tagged as 7.x-2.x and could be moved to the original module.

Due to the apparent lack of interest or time, I finally decided to publish an extended version of ZipCart myself. You can download the new module DocBinder (formerly known as ZipCart 2) and test it, I have had it running in production for eight months now without any issues. I will do some more testing and make a stable release within this month. Thus, I am marking this as fixed now.

@xurizaemon: If you will have time for this, I am happy to discuss how DocBinder could be merged back into ZipCart.
