Hi sun. I don't think this issue is a duplicate of #185254. I am able to switch themes for anonymous users with switchtheme version 5.x-1.1 when using the URL method: &theme=

Dumb me should have explained that the patch in the mentioned issue applies major changes/fixes to the SwitchTheme functionality for anonymous/authenticated users. Because of that, I guess that this issue will too be fixed when the other has been committed.
