There have been several requests to add options for additional Isotope functionality to this module. While some people have submitted a patch to enable the specific functionality they wanted no one has suggested an approach that provided an interface to configure as many options in the modal Views interface. We could stick a few options in there, but at some point that UI becomes to cluttered and confusing.
When I saw @nyariv's work on https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/nyariv/2223945, I realized that he was on the right track by creating another module with a UI that allows you to configure far more options. The approach used in that module has some issues in that it loads using hook_init, looks in the database and code for any enable advanced isotope configurations, loads those to the page, then JQuery scans the DOM to see if the targeted class or id happens to be one the page. This is really an expensive way to use JQuery Isotope on a few pages, but by combining @nyariv's work with Views Isotope, we can extend the configuration options while only loading the specific configuration attached to a specific View... while allowing basic functionality to work out of the box.
