jordanmagnuson commentedMaybe I missed something in the module documentation, but I wasn't able to find any info on what versions of the recurly.js library are supported by this module... can I assume from this issue that recurly.js version 2 is supported, but not version 3?
quicksketchHi @JordanMagnuson, yes this module only supports v2. v3 is quite new and didn't exist at the time of this module's last release. I haven't been able to find any information on the differences between v2 and v3 yet, so both versions might work, but I haven't tried. Sticking with v2 for the time being is the safest bet.

drewish commentedv3 is a total rewrite. it's focused on storing the billing info and then passing back a token that can be used by the server to make API calls. the goal was to move away from the signatures since they caused a ton of support issues. we've added a lot of functionality for computing pricing in JS so you have really nice forms that provide clear estimates of the total (including sales tax!). the full v3 docs are up at https://docs.recurly.com/js/
Comment #4
drewish commentedall that said, v2 will continue to be supported. we're just trying to move people to v3 for new development.
quicksketchThanks @drewish, appreciate the summary. If it's a rewrite, I think that would be a good indicator that we may need a 2.x version of the module. I don't like changing out APIs directly out from existing users.
drewish commentedYeah best to just clearly state that the module requires RJS v2. We're working on some more RJS v3 examples that should make the functionality clearer. But switching over to v3 would definitely warrant a bump to the module's version number.

tymn commentedv3 seems to be required now in order to handle the new EU VAT rules: https://docs.recurly.com/eu-vat-2015. Just wondering if anyone has done any work on this or knows of a workaround that can be done with v2?
archimedes commentedAny plans for a release with v3 supported? This issue seems quiet...
aburke626It's in progress! Sorry for the delay - it's a big undertaking and there's currently only one active maintainer. Would welcome any help or input!
archimedes commentedThanks for the response! Any sense of when it will be released?
I'm happy to help, but don't have any coding bandwidth. Anything else needed?
