I update this module with the last dev version to use the multiple button function but when i select show in: (my block) created with mefibs the exposed filter and exposed sort criteria are displayed to all block and it's confirmed by the new table with count of filter and sort for each block created.

Same for me , it cannot be used in this form =( every filter is on every block and i cannot use this =(

Do you have any update about this bug? because its a pretty huge one.

Sorry for the problems. I will address this as soon as I find the time in the next days.

For the time being you can got back to a previous version using git and the command line (Linux / Mac):
git clone --branch 7.x-1.x http://git.drupal.org/project/mefibs.git
cd mefibs
git reset 3ceaff3c470e8ed0470cf2820e35b617091c9cfe

This will give you a version from March 31, 2014 that doesn’t have the broken multi block feature in it.

I am confirming this. Also reverting to above version did not help me. Anything else I can try ?

ThuleNB’s picture

I am having the same problem. All filters are in all additional blocks that I created.

ThuleNB’s picture

Is there another way to provide the version from March? I am not sure how to manage this with the description above.

Drupal Centric’s picture

I've reverted back to the March version but the issue remains, both of my exposed filters are appearing in both of my exposed blocks.

I just committed some changes that hopefully fix the problem for the moment. I will have to give the architecture of this feature more thought I guess.
In order to fix your problem it is necessary to re-edit every exposed item in a view.

I'm still having issues with the module I'm afraid. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest dev version, then removed the necessary fields and filters, added them back in and selected/deselected blocks to finally get it working but issues remain which means I doubt I'll be able to use the module:

  • Submit button text doesn't get saved
  • Removing the filter's label saves correctly but then reappears if filter edited
  • Including the reset button doesn't work/get saved

I've a number of errors in the logs:

Location: admin/structure/views/ajax/display/taxonomy_term/page/mefibs

Notice: Undefined index: autosubmit_hide in mefibs_display_extender_plugin_blocks->options_form() (line 259 of /sites/all/modules/mefibs/mefibs_display_extender_plugin_blocks.inc).

Notice: Undefined property: view::$form_cache in mefibs_display_extender_plugin_blocks->options_submit() (line 375 of /sites/all/modules/mefibs/mefibs_display_extender_plugin_blocks.inc).

Notice: Undefined index: #value in views_handler_filter_in_operator->value_submit() (line 289 of sites/all/modules/views/handlers/views_handler_filter_in_operator.inc).

I don't have Ajax turned on. Drupal 7.29 and Views 7.3.8

It does not work for me either. I deleted all additional blocks that I created with mefbis and all filters. Than I instaled the new version and created the same blocks and filters again (cache cleared). The filter blocks are placed in the right region but they do not appear. Nothing appears.

Altought the filters are correctly assigned to the respective block I see in "Exposed form Block" that no filter is assign. In the column "filter" there is everywhere "0".

Please let me know if I can help you with more information to find the mistake.

Hm, this will take me a while to reproduce. I'm pretty busy the next days but I'll try to get to it as soon as possible.

@Makakman I can't reproduce any of your problems. The UI might be confusing. Are you sure that you hit the save link instead of the apply button when editing a mefibs block in the views interface?

I'm currently running drupal 7.24-dev and views 7.x-3.8

ThuleNB’s picture

I am running drupal 7.29 and views 7.x-3.8. I updated drupal and mefibs together. After this updates I recognized the error. Maybe there is something with drupal 7.29 that mefibs doesn't like.

Kahnyri’s picture

I'm experiencing the same issue as ThuleNB.
I'm running Drupal 7.30 with Views 7.x-3.8 and the latest version of MEFIBS. Out of curiosity, I made a new installation of Drupal 7.30, and installed Views 7.x-3.8 and MEFIBS. The same problem occurred.

Edit: When I deleted the view using MEFIBS my site crashed (Not a big problem, this was just a new install of Drupal on localhost). Deleting the MEFIBS folder from sites/all/module allowed the site to load again.

    #2293855: fix for disappearing block
berliner’s picture

Can you try the latest dev? I have just pushed some changes, that might fix some issues.

ThuleNB’s picture

No, unfortunately it doesn't. I deinstalled mefibs, cleared caches and reedited all filters and additional blocks. When I add filters to a added mefibs block, they still don't show in the mefibs settings (where you can add a block). For my filter block "color" there are no filters shown, although I added three filters for this block.

In my view there's no filter block as well. What can I do? This already worked a few weeks ago.

berliner’s picture

That's strange. I have just tried it with a new fresh install and it's working (with some minor issues, but working). The blocks show as expected, in the Views UI as well as in the frontend.

If you can access your database directly, try to delete everything from the variables table that contains "mefibs" in the variable name. The clear caches and edit and save the view again.

Are you working on a test site or something similar? Can you provide me with a dump of your database?

I'm having a hard time trying to reproduce these problems.

ThuleNB’s picture

Ok, I followed your instruction and it works now. Thanks a lot, berliner. If every maintainer whould be as fast as you, that would be great!
