in the latest dev version, i don't see the workflow-ng configurations listing under admin/build/workflow-ng anymore, and i'm not getting the messages normally triggered by workflow-ng.
i noticed you had changed the file structure for the workflow-ng include file, are you sure the configurations are still getting included?

please download the latest workflow release http://drupal.org/project/workflow_ng
its an performance improvement...the config file is only loaded when really needed
