Tried to use this module with image galleries, wanted a menu in a side bar that displays all the galleries, for quick access.

The problem is that Taxonomy Menu generates its own pages when clicking on taxonomy terms, instead of leaving the native implementation. This completely breaks the image gallery.

An option to leave links for taxonomy terms as they are would solve the image gallery usage, and it could also be useful in other circumstances (wanted to use this module in the past, and run into the same issue, with some custom vocabulary).

Or maybe it is already possible to do this?

Pretty sure that TM no longer generates its own pages (but that may only be the D6.x-2.x versions, not real sure about the 5.x-1.x version)
Anyway, even if the 5.x version still only generates its own pages, it is VERY unlikely this feature will be added.
Marking as won't fix.
